Film Street Culture
returns to House of Vans on the 29th of November with an exclusive screening of Stephen Nomura Schible's documentary Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda charting the career of the musician and anti-nuclear campaigner who created one of the catchiest film themes of the 80s.
One of the most important artists of our era, Ryuichi Sakamoto has had a prolific career spanning over four decades, from techno-pop stardom to Oscar-winning film composer. Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda is an intimate portrait of both the artist and the man. Some of his film score credits include Call Me By Your Name, The Revenant and The Last Emperor.
The screening will be hosted in our 100-seat cinema space. A very limited number of walk-in tickets will be available on the day, on a first come, first served basis.
The event is free with booking required.
