Scrambled is a 40-minute spy thriller set in contemporary London, written and directed by filmmaker and skateboarder Nick Phillips and shot from a skateboard.
In Nick's own words:
I've probably spent an embarassing portion of my life watching skate videos and I am also interested in story-telling, particularly visual story-telling. I wanted to apply that moving camera aesthetic you get in a skate vid to telling a story that's not about skateboarding. In this case, the story is about a man on surveillance operation for MI5 THAT goes badly wrong and the stakes keep getting higher and higher. I also wanted to show that breathtaking visual narrative is possible with just a camera and a skateboard. And some balls and imagination.
Scrambled was filmed by Jacob Harris of Atlantic Drift and Isle Skateboards.
