House of Vans proudly presents Sessions - a series of intimate gigs by up and coming bands from the UK and beyond. On the 14th of November, we're stoked to bring to our Tunnel 2 stage a three-band bill featuring BlackWaters, Himalayas and Scott Helman.
Grab a drink from our bar and enjoy the show!
BlackWaters proudly uphold to the glorious tradition of 'I don't give a f*ck music'. Humble beginnings on the notorious London gig circuit honed the quartet into a powerful live force and secured them support slots with The Libertines, Marmozets and SWMRS, to name but a few. The band's unique blend of punk rock and indie hooks has seen them garner impressive radio support from the likes of Beats 1 and Radio 1 alongside tips from Clash Magazine and Wonderland.
Combining heavy guitar lines, dual vocals and huge anthemic hooks, Cardiff's garage rock quartet Himalayas create a very cinematic sound and style. They have grown a global fanbase thanks to appearances at major festivals (from Reading & Leeds to SXSW), Spotify features (ever listened to 'Walk Like a badass'?) plus radio support from big hitters including Virgin Radio, Radio 1 and KCRW.
About Scott Helman:
Hailing from Canada, the young singer-songwriter cites both current guitar-driven pop and classic alternative rock as his touchstones. At Sessions, he will introduce new audiences to his award-nominee 2017 debut LP Hôtel de Ville.
