We’re joining forces with Kerrang! to host a unique Metallica exhibition, launching on Tuesday 18th of June.
Dubbed Hardwired… And Early Dayz, the exhibition will be split into two sections. Hardwired will focus on the band’s latest album, including a selection of Kerrang! covers, live imagery, memorabilia and never-before-seen photos from award-winning photographer Tom Barnes, whilst The Early Dayz section will be just that, a trip down memory lane from those first demos to …And Justice For All, all told through the pages of Kerrang! magazine. There’ll be iconic covers, bespoke artwork, their first features (before Cliff and Kirk had even joined!) and pieces of K! ephemera from those early days. There's also a section devoted to Metallica's incredible gig here back in 2016, featuring memorabilia and live footage from the show.
On the 19th and 20th of June you’ll be able to buy exclusive Metallica merchandise not available at the Stadium shows from an exclusive pop-up shop within Tunnel 2. Plus you’ll be able to get your hands on their own Enter Night beer! So if you’re travelling to Twickenham on June 20th, drop in and get kitted out!
To make things that little bit better, we're giving you the chance to provide the soundtrack to the exhibition. Obviously it's Metallica only, but we don't want the usual suspects playing in the Tunnels, we want the underrated gems from their catalogue, we want to hear your favourites! Head to Kerrang's website HERE and get those requests in dudes! Voting ends June 16th at midnight.
To make things that a lot better, we'll be hosting the UK premiere of 'Murder In The Front Row', the definitive story of San Francisco Bay Area thrash. The feature-length documentary features new and exclusive interviews with all the musicians that made the Bay Area scene so iconic, including members of Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus, Testament and more. Spaces are limited but Kerrang! are giving away a coveted spot - keep an eye on their Twitter for how to bag yourself a space!
Hardwired… And Early Dayz runs from June 18th - July 28th and is free to the public. We’ll see you there!
